Preview: Indonesia – 2014 Indonesia Super League – Final
The 2014 Indonesia Super League format has been quite particular in this year, because it has become the only top tier in the Country again, after coexisting with Indonesia Premier League in 2011/12 and 2013: in 2014 the two Leagues merged, and few teams from IPL entered ISL, so 22 teams started this season.
The First Round consisted of two Groups of 11 teams eachone, that played eachother twice: the two bottom placed ones of each Group were relegated, while the 4 best placed advanced to the Second Round, that consisted of two Groups of 4 teams eachone, that faced eachother twice.
The winner and the runner-up of each Group played the Semi-finals, whose winners will play the Final: all the knockout matches are one-legged and are played at Gelora Sriwijaya Stadium of Palembang.
