Fights&Clashes: Chico Flores vs Garry Monk

Today we’re going to speak about a brawl that should be quite common outside a pub, but not on the training pitch of a Premier League club ! Few days ago English media reported a news about a fight on Swansea City AFC training ground, between the Spanish defender José Manuel Flores (a.k.a. Chico) and Garry Monk, the Captain of the Welsh team. We don’t know what caused the quarrel, but we know that, while they were “discussing”, the Spaniard probably grabbed a brick and threatened his teammate to hit him with that (we have no idea why a brick was on a football pitch). A Lady, who was watching her son training for a youth team in an adjacent ground, was scared by the scene and called the Police, that however arrived when the situation had already calmed down, and later the Swansea City AFC press office made a statement that minimized the incident and denied that a brick had been involved.
But the story isn’t over, and becomes even funnier: three days later, because of the bad situation in Premier League, Swansea City AFC sacked its manager, the Danish legend Michael Laudrup, and probably the ownership thought: “Who could replace him better than the loyal and experienced team captain, that knows very well the players, the fans, and the environment ?”. And so Garry Monk was appointed new player/manager (“player” is a big word, because he has played just one League Cup match so far in this season), and we can imagine how happy Chico was when he discovered this decision, understandably fearing to be gradually sidelined !
THIS IS THE FOOTBALL WE LIKE ! ! !
In this video Garry Monk praises, we can imagine how sincerely, Chico Flores, describling him as a warrior, after the Spaniard had scored against Stoke City FC.
